Contemporary Dance – Beginners

Contemporary is a collective term of different styles within modern dance.

In this course you will get to know your own dance skills. You’ll roll, swing, jump, fall and turn. During this class different themes will be dealt with, think about, technique, dynamic, flexibility, musicality, expression and presentation. Find as a group the harmony, the creativity as a soloist, and collaboration during your duet. In addition to the exercises and combinations there will be focus on improvisation as well.

Wear smooth-fitting clothing (dance / yoga pants and socks). In periods of floor work long sleeves and knee pads are required.

This course is offered in English. This course starts on Friday 13 February 2026 at 16.00 and will be 15 weeks in a row on the same day and time. The course will take place in the Big Dance Studio in Usva.
