Dive into the world of botanical illustrations.
In this 5 week course you learn everything about making nature based illustrations yourself.
In every lesson you work with and get inspired by real plants and flowers. The course is build around observation, making sketches and drawing with different materials. You learn to work with shadow and light but also the use of colour to make illustrations come to live. In every lesson you expend your knowlegde with new technics or materials.
At the end of this course you know how to build your own botanical illustrations from sketch and how to make it come to live with the right technics or materials. You know how to translate the most beautiful shapes and colours from plants and flowers to paper. You will make your own botanical illustrations to frame and receive a knowlegdable base for making your own illustrational work.
This course starts on Wednesday 14 January 2026 at 19.30 and will be 5 weeks in a row on the same day and time. The course will take place in the Green Room in Usva.
This course is led by Rianne van der Kamp. An illustrator, forager and teacher with a love for making nature to come alive on paper.
