Daimis Alvarez Garrido

Born in Cuba to a family of musicians, Daimis developed a deep connection from an early age with music. Her multicultural and rich musical upbringing marked her first steps into her musical career.

Daimis has studied classical flute at the National School of Art in Havana. During her study Daimis joined various choirs, which helped her develop her knowledge of choral repertoire and techniques in various genres. In 2002 she moved to Aruba. Next to giving flute concerts and teaching music she joined the Choir Ars Nova where she was the choirmaster's assistant.
In 2005 Daimis founded her own Young Vocal Ensemble, which she conducted until 2006 when she decided to move to The Netherlands to further her studies at the Prins Claus Conservatoire. Currently Daimis teaches various musical subjects at different institutions such as: Muziekschool de Hondsrug in Gieten, Zernike College in Groningen and the Muziek, Dans en Theaterschool in Veendam.

Dana van Nimwegen

I received my first musical education from the local music school at the age of 10. My debut at De Doelen, Rotterdam one year later then marked the beginning of my career as a classical pianist.

During secondary school I enrolled at the Utrechts Conservatorium for two preparatory years under Henk Ekkel. After graduating from high school, I continued my studies in Utrecht under Paolo Giacometti and received my Bachelor in 2008. Following this, I was offered a place for a Master in Music, specialising in chamber music under the guidance of Klára Wurtz. This last degree, which I rounded off in 2011, also included research in teaching techniques for talented children. I have been giving piano lessons ever since I started my studies at the Utrechts Conservatorium and take pleasure in teaching students of all ages and at all levels. Apart from regular piano lessons, I also focus on cultivating ensemble playing and organise group lessons as well as recital evenings. During and following my studies I participated in many chamber music projects in the Netherlands and abroad. At present, I regularly accompany various instrumentalists and singers; since 2012 I have been working closely with the Zeister Mannenkoor, a male voice choir. I also currently give piano lessons in Groningen and Utrecht. As part of the Project Inleidend Piano Onderwijs (PIPO), I work in a team of teachers to give piano lessons to very young, talented children in accordance with teaching methods developed by the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. As one of the senior teachers, I am closely involved in innovating musical talent development.

Céline Brugman

Céline is a young, talented singer from Groningen, the Netherlands. At a young age she started playing the piano, but after a few years she discovered singing was a lot more fun and came a lot easier to her, making this her prime focus.

After she graduated high school in 2012 she was admitted to the Jazz Vocals bachelor at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen. Here she has studied with Francien van Tuinen, Ruben Hein, and Marjorie Barnes. She has also had lessons from internationally renowned musicians, such as Wycliffe Gordon, Deborah Brown, and JD Walter.

In 2015 Céline was admitted to do an exchange semester at the prestigious University of the Arts in Philadelphia (USA). Here she has studied with Mary Ellen Desmond and Liz Radigonda, among others.
In June 2017 Céline's senior recital at the Prince Claus Conservatoire was awarded with a 9, this being her final grade.

Céline performs in and around Groningen, in varying formations.
