Yet these elections play a crucial role in shaping the city\u2019s policies and priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event aims to provide an accessible introduction to the municipal elections in Groningen, with a particular focus on international residents. Experts will explain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How municipal elections in the Netherlands are organised<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who is eligible to vote and under what conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What issues and representatives are decided at the local level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Why participation in local democracy is relevant for internationals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussion will help participants understand how local decision-making affects everyday life in Groningen, including housing, mobility, sustainability, and public services.
