Requirement: Basic command of the English language.
The basic course in improv comedy teaches students the essential skills required to perform improvised theatre, with a special focus on comedy. You will be shown how to create a full scene from just a single suggestion, how to find humour with your improvisation, and how to put up a full improv comedy show. This course focusses on short comedic scenes called “games”. Most importantly, it teaches students how to work together to create a fun and hilarious theatrical experience. By the end of the course, participants will have the level required to join existing improv groups and set up improv performances for an audience.
NB: The advanced course is a follow-up course and is only accessible if you participated in the beginners course.
This course is offered in English. This course starts on Tuesday 13 January 2026 at 19.00 and will be 10 weeks in a row on the same day and time. The course will take place in the Drama Room & Small Dance Studio in Usva.
