Think back to when you were younger, having deep conversations with your friends at a sleepover. Come relive those discussions with us at Usva. In a cozy setting, we’ll listen to stories about different forms of loving.
Let’s rethink the relationships we have with others. Would you consider your friends as partners? Do you believe in ‘the one’? During this sleepover (not an actual sleepover), we invite you to think about these topics. We’ll have some speakers on various topics, such as polyamory, asexuality, and queerplatonic relationships. Bring your own pillows and blankets! The guests: One of the speakers of the night is Sarai Erkens, also known as De Middelste Lepel (The Middle Spoon). Sarai is a theatre maker and artist, and she’s polyamorous. On her Instagram account, she shares her experiences with polyamory, and shows her art.

Jules (they/he)
Jules, 21 years old, studies AI at the RUG and hopes to start their masters in Computational Cognitive Science next year. They're originally from Hungary, but they've lived most of their life in Belgium before moving to Groningen for their studies. They are on the board of Ganymedes LGBT+, and enjoy organising events with a focus on queer educational content. They are aroace and have considered themselves as such since they were about 14, though it took them a long time to get truly comfortable with the label, and the road there was bumpy.
Siebren de van der Schueren (he/him)
Siebren de van der Schueren is an actor at the Shakespeare Theatre in Diever and also works as a training actor. Siebren is polyamorous and frequently engages in philosophical discussions about the meanings behind the words we use to describe relationships, challenging the biases that arise from monogamy and hierarchy. As a lover of Disney, he artfully balances these dreamlike ideals with a grounded, realistic perspective on love and connection.
Mak (they/he)
Mak is a student, a member of the LGBTQ+ student association Ganymedes, and a writer in their free time. They're queer, aroace, and they hope to shed some light on non-allonormative ways of living and loving.
When? Thursday 13 February at 20.30.
Where? In the Usva Theatre, Munnekeholm 10.
