For our final show of the season on June 26th at USVA Theater, we’re doing something perfectly sensible: making up an entire musical on the spot.
The evening starts with the musical format “The Onion” presented by students of STHH Improv Academy, followed by a fully improvised musical performed by STHH’s cast, inspired by your suggestions and held together by the extraordinary talents of our pianist and musical genius Jenifer Yáñez Villahermosa.
There will be songs. There will be drama. There will almost certainly be a character making a life-changing decision in song after knowing someone for less than three minutes.
No script, no rehearsals, and no clue what the musical will be about until you tell us.
Come help us end the season with jazz hands, questionable plot developments, and a musical that will never be seen again.
Stranger Things Have Happened is an English-speaking improv comedy group. Over the past 15 years, they have played hundreds of comedy shows ranging from small clubs to big theatres, both nationally and internationally. At a STHH’s show, our players improvise their way through the night with music, laughter, and the occasional insanity, always inspired by your suggestions (or simply by your lovely presence in the room). The result is a unique and fresh show that remains unpredictable for both the audience and the performers! More info: www.strangerthings.nl
