Break Dance

Breakdance is originated in the seventies, it was invented to dance to a new style of music. DJ’s at that time, such as Afrika Bambaataa, Grandmaster Flash and DJ Kool Herc, started using turntables and a mixer to continue the break of a song endlessly. It was a new dance style to dance on this break. Later this developed into hip hop.

The Hip-Hop dance has a variety of types of movements, these are classified into top rock (standing dancing), footwork (from a squatting position), power moves, and freezes (poses). Breakdance (and globally in hip-hop) is all about having your own style, originality and expression. It is my passion to introduce people to this dance and help them to bring all these parts into one coherent dance. All these components including warm-up will be part of the course.
