LUCID is a short film, following the dream-like journey of a woman looking to find out what is important to her. She follows her curiosity to discover what lies for her beyond the monotony of what everyday life has to offer to her. The film invites the audience to join her on this journey but also lives room for self-projection and interpretation, making the experience unique to each person. With there being no dialogue in the film, it takes away any language barrier. Leaving the only limits to be one’s own imagination.

Director’s Bio:
My name is Sukhmani Lunial, a director from the Netherlands. Having studied Fine Arts at Minerva Art Academy, I spent the majority of my study, focused on filmmaking. Not dissimilar to my decade-long interest in the craft of cinema and films. When eventually the childhood intrigue in the film turned into a need to make my own, I was eager to bring my stories to the screen. I was in a unique position to use my understanding of visual arts to bring to my films a ‘painterly' quality. With each frame formed with care and attention, I aim to breathe life into intimate stories that invite the viewer to the world of each film.
