Have you always wanted to make a film? In 10 lessons we will work together towards the realization of your (first) film.
Making films has never been so accessible! Where you used to need an expensive camera or prestigious education, nowadays everyone has the means to make a film.
In this course you will get started with the basic principles of film making. In 10 lessons we will go through different facets of film, such as: camera, light, audio, editing, direction and script. Supplemented with what you may need. We will be doing a lot, but we will also be introduced to some film theory, so that you learn to substantiate why you make certain choices.
In this course we will develop your first film. Sometimes you will work individually but definitely also within a group. This course is mainly useful for beginners, but if you are already at a further stage, you're definitely welcome. Also I will help you develop and work on your existing film projects.
For this course you don't need your own camera. You should bring your own laptop or tablet. Adobe software is not a must, we can also work with free versions of CapCut or DaVinci Resolve. This course is offered in English.
This course is 10 weeks in a row and starts on Monday 14 September 2026 from 17.00 - 19.00 in the Media Studio in Usva.
