The basic course in improv comedy - Advanced is a follow-up of the beginners course and teaches students the essential skills required to perform improvised theatre, with a special focus on comedy. You will be shown how to create a full scene from just a single suggestion, how to find humour with your improvisation, and how to put up a full improv comedy show. This course focusses on long form. In long form, students together perform long scenes in a group, essentially creating an entire small play on the spot. Most importantly, it teaches students how to work together to create a fun and hilarious theatrical experience. By the end of the course, participants will have the level required to join existing improv groups and set up improv performances for an audience.
