A 10-week course in music writing for songwriters, producers and composers. In this course you will learn tools and techniques to help you write your music. Whether you’re making electronic music, singer-songwriter songs, hiphop beats, techno, rock and pop or even classical music. This course will dive deeper on the principles of music, recording and mixing so that you can improve the music you’re already making. Bring your personal projects to the lesson and work with your fellow students and tutor Bart Bruinsma (BARTONDISPLAY) to bring your music to life! This course includes an on-site visit to Studio Boterdiep.

This course is offered in English. This course starts on Thursday 9 April 2026 at 20:45 and will be 10 weeks in a row on the same day and time. The course will take place in the Media Studio in USVA and Studio Boterdiep.
