After a lot of battle and bloodshed, the York family seems to finally have secured the crown from their rivals, the Lancasters. Edward IV is king and there are seemingly no Lancasters left that would try to take that title away from him. Instead, the threat comes from inside the family. Richard, duke of Gloucester, is the youngest of three York brothers and he feels like an outcast due to his disability. So he plans to “prove a villain” and set his brothers against each other. Through manipulation and murder, he eventually manages to gain the crown. But during his rise to power, he slowly loses more and more of his friends. And his sanity…

Please be advised; this play contains depictions of violence and sexual assault.
